The ovaries are an important part of the female

6. The woman may have problems emptying the bladder fully or she may feel the need to
urinate frequently.
7. Hormonal
abnormalities occur as the body produces abnormal amounts of hormones.
8. Pain
in the lower back or thighs and breast tenderness
9. Nausea
and vomiting
Types
of cysts:
There are many different types of ovarian cyst,
which can be categorized as either:
· Functional ovarian cysts
are the most common type. These are harmless cysts and are short-lived.
· Pathological cysts
are growing in the ovaries; they may be harmless or cancerous.
Diagnosis
and treatment
Most of the cysts disappear without treatment within
a few months. Most ovarian cysts have no signs or symptoms, remain undiagnosed.
A cyst may be diagnosed during a pelvic examination or ultrasound scan. The
shape, size, and composition of the cyst, can be determined after diagnosis by the scan. A doctor may also find that it is filled with solid or liquid.
